Janwaar Castle is a learning camp with a skatepark at its core. It's a social experiment and the goal is to transform the village of Janwaar into a wealthier and more prosperous place.

Janwaar Castle is growing and so are its kids. Kids, we could literally pick in one hand and swing them around are getting bigger and heavier. As times go by. And the number of kids coming by and joining Janwaar Castle has also increased. Our youngest kids are hardly three years old. And there are quite a few of them.

We definitely need more play areas in the village. So we decided to move into the village and build a few little playgrounds. Just like we do with our library. No need to only stay at the skatepark!

In a first step, we will be using tires’. While we were at Prakriti School, our learning partner in Noida, we saw how interestingly tires could be arranged for a playground.

Used tires is all we need — completely worn out and unusable in general. And the good news is, the tire guys along the Panna-Satna road will help. By now, they all recognize the “bullet lady” which is driving by almost every day on her way to Janwaar. Some of them will provide three while some give 20 tires for the playgrounds.

Once we have the tires, Pappu, our man for everything who has been growing in his new role away from his bar keeper job which he had for many years, will start building these tyre-grounds along with the kids!
